چکیده
This paper conducts numerical experiments on performance comparisons of CTDARV—with or without conical angle in the valve element and seat. The working principles three kinds CTDARV are introduced. simulation models established by utilizing AMESIM. Numerical CTDARV, with a seat, conducted obtained. results show that: (1) When all parameters VED, VSD, VEM, SS, CAVE&CAVS, OD have same value, respectively, CA-VE has highest stable pressure, CA-VE&VS displacement, CA-VS lowest displacement. pressure is significantly higher than that CA-VE&VS. displacement CA-VS, little difference. (2) With increase VED from 13 mm to 16 mm, remains constant, while both decreases. As VSD increases 3 6 decreases, decreases significantly. VEM 0.01 kg 0.04 kg, CA-VE, unchanged. SS 5 N/mm 20 N/mm, increases. CAVE&CAVS 15 degrees 60 degrees, 0.8 1.4 (3) will not change, increase. increases, 4 mm–6 increasing (4) velocity unchanged, oscillation gradually change. 30 lower gradually, changes little.

Performance study of a diaphragm type crankcase pressure control valve
Pressure control valve (PCV) is implemented in internal combustion engine to regulate crankcase pressure. In this study, the performance of a diaphragm PCV valve is investigated numerically and experimentally. Firstly, numerical simulation is carried out using commercial code to predict the flow and pressure distribution inside the valve. Furthermore, downstream and upstream pressure of the val...
متن کاملGPU Rendering of Relief Mapped Conical Frusta
This paper proposes to use relief-mapped conical frusta (cones cut by planes) to skin skeletal objects. Based on this representation, current programmable graphics hardware can perform the rendering with only minimal communication between the CPU and GPU. A consistent definition of conical frusta including texture parametrization and a continuous surface normal is provided. Rendering is perform...
متن کاملEffect of Contact Pressure and Frequency on Contact Heat Transfer Between Exhaust Valve and its Seat
The hot gases produced by the internal combustion engines passes through the exhaust valve and causes high temperatures in the exhaust valve and its seat. To avoid damaging the exhaust valve, heat must be transferred from the valve to its seat during the contact they make at the opening and closing cycle. Heat transfer rate from the exhaust valve to its seat is a function of many factors. One o...
متن کاملAn angle criterion for conical mesh vertices
A vertex in a mesh surface with planar faces may have the property that offsetting all the face planes incident with the vertex by a constant distance leads to planes which intersect again in a common point. This is equivalent to the property that the planes, consistently oriented via the connectivity of the mesh, are tangent to an oriented cone of revolution. We show that for vertices of valen...

In this paper, the effect of the Intake Valve Deactivation (IVDA) on engine performance is investigated in detail. Based on an optimization platform with Genetic Algorithm (GA) and engine thermodynamic model, the characteristics of the engine volumetric efficiency and pumping loss were studied under the cam-drive, Single Intake Valve (SIV) and Dual Intake Valves (DIV) operating modes, and the e...
